“Up to one in 20 New Zealanders have FASD”

Every classroom in the country probably has at least 1 child with foetal alcohol spectrum disorder – but most don’t get support. Health Minister Shane Reti announced plans for research to measure FASD prevalence for the 1st time, and to use alcohol levy money to fund training for health professionals.
