Governor describes impact of drugs on her prison

Natalie McKee, governor of HMP Hindley, told MPs that drugs are having a “huge impact” on her jail – with drones spotted weekly, families up to £10,000 in debt and up to 70% of inmates testing positive for illicit substances. “There’s an awful lot of cannabis, psychoactive substances, and also use of ketamine.”
