India: public cooperation vital in war against drugs

In a visit to a Punjab hospital, health minister Dr Balbir Singh Drug said that addicts would be rehabilitated and empowered with jobs. He urged them to become an inspiration for others. He works to transition addicts from injectable drugs to medications then complete “de-addiction”, through 529 opioid agonist therapy centres and de-addiction facilities across the state.
