Teacher survey reveals alarming level of drug use on school grounds

A survey by the NASUWT teachers’ union found that 1 in 5 teachers knew of pupils using substances, including cannabis, spice, cocaine, ketamine, alcohol, nitrous oxide and nicotine pouches, on school premises. The union warned that these and access to gambling apps are contributing to disruptive, violent and abusive behaviour by pupils.
