Parents affected by a child’s addiction

This study by Germany’s University of Lübeck and Richard Velleman of University of Bath found that, while mothers were more affected by emotional and cognitive stress factors, fathers suffered more from violent conflicts. Mothers tended more towards taking responsibility, fathers to distance themselves. Both wanted support and advertisement of easy-to-access emergency help.
