Kelly DeRidder, a Conservative MP in Ontario, was once homeless and addicted to drugs on the streets of the jurisdiction she now represents. About a year after she was elected, and on the day of a debate on rehab programme for offenders, she broke her silence about her difficult past in the House of Commons.
