34% of staff “comfortable” telling their manager about substance use

34% of workers would feel comfortable telling their manager about a substance use issue, according to Telus Health. Its most recent Mental Health Index report this week highlighted that 40% of workers would not be comfortable discussing a substance abuse issue with their manager, while 26% were unsure. The findings are a reminder that having a policy is not the same as having a culture.
