Scottish drinkers: less often but more

Scottish adults tend to drink less often but consume more units of alcohol when they do so, a Drinkaware survey of 7,210 UK adults suggested. It found 40% of adults in Scotland drink alcohol at least once a week, compared with 45% across the UK – but 22% of Scottish drinkers consumed 7 or more units in a typical session, compared with 17% across the UK.
