Community Alcohol Partnerships

Over 350 local Community Alcohol Partnership schemes have now been established across the UK – but there are concerns about industry funding, Abbie Irving warned in a Shaap blog. CAP provides materials from alcohol industry-funded organisations, such as Drinkaware, the Smashed Project and Talk About Trust. Research showed that they can promote industry-favourable narratives about alcohol.
