New York State sues in prediction markets crackdown

New York state, one of the largest markets for gambling in the US, escalated its fight against prediction markets yesterday by suing Polymarket’s domestic arm, alleging that the bet-on-nearly-everything site was illegally running a gambling operation. The company and rival Kalshi are facing legal challenges from states around the country, the Wall Street Journal reported.
