Australia: loneliness and drinking

University of Sydney et al published Drinking at least weekly, loneliness and social isolation over time: Bidirectional within-person associations in an Australian prospective cohort study – finding that loneliness and social isolation appeared to reinforce each other over time, whereas drinking at least weekly showed autoregressive stability but no clear evidence of bidirectional longitudinal links with these social experiences at the within-person level.
