Portugal: seizures of nitrous oxide canisters soar by 650% in 2025

Seizures in Portugal of nitrous oxide canisters, a psychoactive substance known as ‘laughing gas’, have skyrocketed in 2025, registering an increase of almost 650% compared to the total seizures in the whole of last year, GNR data revealed.
