Rethinking drinking

Last January, the Surgeon General’s report warned that alcohol is linked to an estimated 100,000 cancer cases and 20,000 cancer-related deaths annually in the US. Alcohol is the3rd leading preventable cause of cancer. There are 13,500 alcohol-related traffic fatalities a year, globally 2.6million alcohol-related deaths including 700,000 from alcohol-related violence. Rita Mitvo MD calls for change.
