The US spent $228billion on alcohol

Last year alone, $228billion was spent on alcohol across the US. California spent the most: about $29billion. But which state spent the most per head? SmartAsset analyzed data from the US Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis to assess how much the average adult over age 21 in each state spent on alcoholic beverages last year.
