The DSM approach is wrong

This 12:22minute Psychiatric Times podcast suggests that the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual’s reliance on subjective distress and functional impairment diverges from scientific medicine’s clinicopathological approach. The DSM is critiqued as antimedical and antiscientific, leading to mis/over diagnosis. A re-evaluation of psychiatric diagnosis is advocated.
